Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji Mahatma Hansraj Ji Shri G.P. Chopra Ji
The Mission
In the latter half of
the 19th century, a radical group of socially oriented people, who were
followers of Mahaharshi Dayanand formed the Anglo - Vedic College
Trust and Management Society. The Society was was registered 1885 under
the society Registration Act. The main objective of the dav society was
to achieve the goal laid down by Maharshi Dayanand who had the firm
conviction that salvation lay in educating the masses.
The Renaissance period as it was, witnessed the devoted and dedicated spirit of learned patrons like Lala Lajpat Rai, Lala Lal Chand, Bhai Parmanand, Justice Meher Chand Mahajan and Bakshi Tek Chand. In 1886, the DAV Society founded it's first institution at Lahore with Mahatma Hansraj as its founder Principal. The DAV Movement launched with a sensitive mission as an objective, had strong roots and the dream envisioned by Swami Dayanand crystallisied in to a r
